update: We're helping with recovery from Hurricane Matthew and we need your support
BHI was in the process of building a new surgical center in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti, when Hurricane Matthew struck the south coast. In its devastating aftermath, we have redeployed staff, crews, materials, equipment, and other resources in an all-out effort to help clear roads, repair bridges, ensure access to food and water, and prevent disease. It will be a long recovery, but BHI, in partnership with the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation, is committed to seeing it through. It is the only option.
Laying real foundations for global health-care delivery
— Dr. Paul Farmer, Co-founder, Partners in Health
BHI designs, builds, and equips high-quality, sustainable health-care facilities in impoverished regions of the world.
We partner with organizations committed to the public health system to ensure that ...
the highest quality care available is provided in a dignified and compassionate manner
such care is accessible to all, regardless of ability to pay
the facility complements and adds to the national — and global — public health-care infrastructure
WE ALSO PARTNER WITH NONPROFITS ADDRESSING THE ROOT CAUSES OF POVERTY, SUCH AS LACK OF ACCESS TO QUALITY EDUCATION.
BHI's model is unique: We offer hands-on construction know-how with experience working in resource-constrained areas, training community members to staff and maintain facilities, and providing ongoing managerial support.
